We will find a home for your knitted or crocheted projects!

In 2015 we sent 103 bears to Lozandier. The children LOVED the bears! For many this was their only toy. These bears are getting worn. Many were lost in Hurricane Matthew last fall. Your help is needed to replace these bears.

Hats and mittens will be given to local schools, shelters and organizations. Baby items will be given to young mothers in need and a pregnancy help center.

Items may be dropped off at the Frederic Public Library, Remax Assurance realty office in Siren and the Washburn County Register newspaper office in Shell Lake. You may also bring items to the Knitting and Crochet Extravaganza in September.

Questions may be emailed to: knittingextravaganza@live.com.

Do you like to knit or crochet but find that your children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews have all they need at this time? If so, we will find a home for your projects!

We need more bears to send to the children in Lozandier, Haiti. The bears may be knit or crocheted, using any pattern, and any color yarn, except red. The recommended size is 7” to 11”.
